How much an escape room costs in Riga

How much an escape room costs in Riga

An escape room in Riga is priced per room rather than per person, which is why advertised numbers are hard to compare. Here is the full price table and the per-person maths for teams from two to seven.

How much an escape room costs in Riga: the full table

The price is per room rather than per person, and it changes twice a day: at 18:00 and again at 22:00.

  • Monday to Thursday before 18:00: 60 € per room. The last game starts at 17:00.
  • Monday to Thursday after 18:00, and all day Friday: 80 €.
  • Weekends and public holidays: 100 €.
  • Any day from 22:00: 100 €.
  • Five players are included. Each additional player: 10 €, a child under 14 5 €.

What it works out to per person

Because you pay per room, the per-person figure falls with every extra player. The maths for one Friday evening, when a room costs 80 €:

  • Two players: 40 € each.
  • Three: 27 € each.
  • Four: 20 € each.
  • Five: 16 € each.
  • Seven in Sherlock Holmes: 80 € plus 20 € for the two extra players, about 14 € each.

On a weekday before 18:00 all of those numbers drop by a quarter: a team of five pays 12 € each.

When it is cheaper

The time sets the price, not the room: all nine rooms cost the same.

  • A weekday afternoon is the cheapest slot: 60 € against 100 € at the weekend, a difference of 40 € per room.
  • Thursday evening costs the same as Friday, but more slots are usually free.
  • Late slots from 22:00 are the most expensive, and the only ones that suit a group that finishes late.

For a large group there is one more condition: booking three rooms or more at once can get you an individual offer. The maths for a corporate event is in this piece.

How to compare prices quoted in different ways

Prices are advertised both per room and per person, so the numbers are not directly comparable. Three things to check before comparing.

  • What the price covers. A room or one player. This is the main and most common misunderstanding.
  • How many people are included. If the figure is per room, the question is how many players that covers and what the next one costs.
  • Whether the price changes with the time. Evenings and weekends almost always cost more than a weekday afternoon.

The simplest method is to work everything out per person at your own team size. For two people and for five, the better deal can be a completely different one.

Kids parties and other prices

A children's birthday has its own price, which is not the same as a standard booking: 170 € on a weekday before 18:00 and 210 € after 18:00 and at weekends. It includes two game slots, an hour for the celebration and a game master who helps the children. Each extra hour of celebration is 50 €. What exactly is included is described in the kids party piece.

What the price includes

The amount per room is not just a ticket through the door: it covers everything around the game.

  • 60 minutes of play. The clock starts when the team is in the room, not when you walk into the building.
  • The briefing beforehand. Rules, safety and how to ask for a hint.
  • A game master for the whole hour. They follow the game and give hints when the team is stuck.
  • Somewhere to leave your things. Coats and phones go in a locker.
  • A group photo afterwards. Optional, and almost everyone wants it.

With the briefing and the photos, plan for an hour and a half rather than an hour. That matters if a table is booked for afterwards.

Three ways to bring the cost down

The price is fixed, but the final figure comes down to three decisions.

  • Come with a full team. The price is per room, so five people pay what two people pay. That is 40 € each for a pair and 16 € each for five.
  • Choose a weekday before 18:00. 60 € against 100 € at the weekend, with nothing else different.
  • For a large group, book several rooms at once. From three rooms up you can get an individual offer.

Questions people ask

The same as for five: 60 € on a weekday before 18:00, or 80 € in the evening. Per person that is 30 to 40 € for a pair.

Do prices differ between rooms?

No. All nine rooms cost the same; the day and the hour set the price.

What do the sixth and seventh players cost?

Each adult beyond five is 10 €, and a child under 14 is 5 €. Seven players fit only in Sherlock Holmes.

Is there a discount for a large group?

Booking three rooms or more at once can get you an individual offer. The terms are on the corporate events page.

When is it cheapest?

Monday to Thursday before 18:00: 60 € per room. The last game at that price starts at 17:00.

To work out your own figure you need two numbers: how many people, and which day. The rest is the table at the top of this page.
